This morning i woke up with hard core itchy rash on my back. Come to find out it is zoster (shingles) - common for transplant patients im told. It doesn't hurt, just itches like crazy, contagious to those who haven't had chicken pox, and doctor said this will set me back at least a week if not longer. Because of this, i had to transport to another room. its an isolation room so no one can see or talk to me unless they go through an airlock, glassed in entrance first- so im pretty lonely. No more trips out into the hall or into the garden - basically cannot leave my room until it clears up - whenever that is! On the upside this gives me more isolated time with my tutor. Other than that, it was a great day . . .
P.S. im ready to party Michael!

Hey Kiddo,
Sorry to hear about your latest setback - that isolation room sounds pretty sucky. Hopefully the shingles will clear up and you can get out of there soon! Hope they gave you something to make it stop itching. I agree with Mrs. D - enjoy your time with the tutor! Good thing you got that Boredom Buster box of stuff the other day.
We found out Mr. Scuttles has kidney failure but the vet called today and said he was perking up a little - we'll know more on Monday when they run more tests (more $$$) to check his "levels" (sound familiar? ha ha).
Tell your mom Happy Mother's Day - hope the hospital did something for the moms there. You guys seem to spend every holiday in the hospital....
Miss you guys,
Love Aunt Marsha :-) XXOO

Hey Taylor,
I'm your Mom's cousin from Boston..
which I think makes us cousins or 2nd cousins, I don't really know.
We did meet about 2 years ago at Marsha's house.
I have been reading through your blog, sounds like things change from day to day. I hope the days ahead get a little easier for you.
One question if I could - As I was skimming through all the blogs & comments I noticed quite a few Chuck Norris references. This I didn't really understand...I think of him as being old and washed up -Similar to the Yankee's pitching staff. Anyway, let the Red Sox come from behind 9th inning Mothers Day victory be an inspiration to you.
Feel better, Bryan Chatelle
